Man Found Dead After Car Fire Breaks Out In CT

A man was found dead following a car fire at a storage facility in Connecticut.

The incident took place in Litchfield County around 10:20 p.m., Monday, Nov. 14 in New Milford at 40 Sullivan Road.

New Milford Police and the Water Witch Fire Department responded to the Mobile Mini Portable Storage for a reported car fire, said Lt. Lee Grabner, of the New Milford Police.

After the fire was extinguished by the fire department a man was found dead inside the vehicle, Grabner said.

The New Milford Fire Marshal and the Connecticut State Police Fire Marshal responded to assist with the investigation.

The man's body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy, Grabner said.

The man's identity has not been released pending the notification of his family members.
